The Mothers’ Union provides free caravan holidays for families or anyone in need, suffering adversity, not otherwise able to have a holiday or who would benefit from a break away from familiar surroundings. York Diocese own a caravan on a Haven Holiday Park at Filey. Holidays are for 6 days, usually from Saturday to Friday and the caravan is available from the beginning of April to the end of October, with school holiday weeks being the most popular.

Each holiday is sponsored by Mothers’ Union York Diocese and guests can be recommended for a holiday by a Mothers’ Union member, local clergy, other church members, doctors, chaplains, health and social care workers, school staff etc.

These holidays are always gratefully received and some of the feedback is heartwarming.
